I work in an office from nine to five on weekdays, on Saturdays and Sundays I stay at home watching TV shows. I have a boyfriend whose company is not far away from us, so we often have lunch together. During working hours, if we both have nothing at hand to do at hand, we sometimes chat with each other on Facebook to talk small things happened among colleagues, supervisors, bosses, or our private matter.
One day when I was chatting on line with my boyfriend, I told him that one of my colleagues Maria wanted to change a new job. After a while, my manager came to our office and said that he needed to talk with Maria. When Maria came back, she walked straight towards me and asked me why I gave her away. I was so confused about what’s going on. She said that my boss knew she wanted to quit the job, and before that, she only told me about the quitting thing. So she believed it must be me who gave her away. I didn’t know how my manager knew the things I just told my boyfriend on line. I swore I didn’t tell my manager but Maria didn’t believe me, and she never spoke to me after that.

I told my boyfriend about this after work, he thought for a while and then said that my company might install computer monitoring software on every one’s computer. That is to say, all my computer operations, including chat content, were seen by my manager! That’s why he had that conversation with Maria.
God, it’s so terrible! Our computers were being monitored, and we had little privacy left! After that I secretly discussed this matter with several colleagues. They had already known that, and they told me all of our operations on the computer were recorded, even including the keystrokes, in addition, they can not only see our desktop at real time, but also remote control our computers.
Computer monitoring software is almost omnipotent. Have your company installed computer monitoring software yet?
